Hangingwater Studio is a friendly vibrant art space in Nether Green, Sheffield, that facilitates the teaching, creation and enjoyment of art for people of any ability.
Art classes and workshops run by our professional artists are available throughout the year, enabling people to practice their art and meet like-minded people in a relaxed, well organised environment.
We regularly participate in Sheffield's annual Open Up event, giving our artists the opportunity to exhibit their work and to make links with the wider artistic community. We are also home to the Nether Green Art Group.

Founded in 2002, the studio is situated on the upper floor of a row of Victorian workshops and consists of a large open-plan space for group sessions, and a smaller private studio currently tenanted by pattern designer, Ariana Martin.
The main studio is a large, light and airy north-facing space which comfortably seats 9-10 people. It is equipped with easels, brushes, palettes, still life objects, reference material and art books. There is a also a utilty sink, a kitchenette and a toilet.
Please be aware that there are 4 steps at the entrace to the studio, which means it is not accessible to wheelchair users. Parking is available in the yard but you may sometimes be asked to move your car as all the garages are in daily use. There is also free on-street parking within the immediate area.
The studio is located above the garages at the back of Fulton's Yard, which is down the narrow driveway between house numbers 47 and 51 Nethergreen Road, S11 7EH.
